Dorris Keeven-Franke: Wordsmith

Writes about early Missouri history, especially the early German emigrants who followed Gottfried Duden. She has written hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles, has done background research for television and Film producers. She travels and gives lectures on history and does historical first person presentations. She is a genealogist with clients in both the U.S.A. and in Germany.

She has published the award winning Power of the People; A Window Through Time; and a History of Warren County Missouri.  She is currently working on Warren County for Arcadia Publishing, and a project with the Sommer-Republik in Bremen, Germany. She is a past editor of Der Maibaum, and the Missouri State Genealogy Association newsletter.  

She welcomes questions on Missouri history, German emigration, family history research.
